PMI’s new e-CV manufacturing plant in Pune to manufacture 2,500 units per year

PMI a number one producer {of electrical} buses has laid the muse stone for its largest electrical industrial automobile manufacturing plant in Pune. 

The 35-acre facility will come up in MIDC, Chakan, will make use of over 1,500 personnel and can be capable to produce 2,500 electrical industrial automobiles every year. The plant will probably be fee by August 2023 with industrial manufacturing slated to start by October 2023.

At current, PMI operates a producing facility in Delhi NCR with an annual manufacturing capability of about 1,500 electric-buses. With this growth in Pune, the annual manufacturing capability is slated to achieve 4,000 electrical industrial automobiles.

Satish Kumar Jain, MD, PMI stated, “We, as pioneers of providing zero-emission commercial vehicles, firmly believe that the commercial vehicles powered by clean energy will play a major role in sustainable mobility, and we want to actively contribute towards the future growth of this segment and achieve the sustainability target set out by government of India.”

The firm says the strategic location of the ability in Pune will present it entry to the Nhava-Sheva port in addition to the supply-chain ecosystem in Pune, together with logistical benefit to cater to the key markets in West/Central/Southern markets of the nation particularly – Maharashtra, Gujarat, Karnataka and Madhya Pradesh amongst others.
