Masked Singer 2021 LIVE – Fans think Bull is Todrick Hall & judge Ken Jeong gives Pepper the buzzer


THE Masked Singer is back again tonight, with the semi-finals getting underway.

Masked Singer is nearing the final stages of Season 6, with Group A’s contestants battling it out tonight.

That means Bull, Skunk, Pepper, and Jester will be doing their best to impress the judges at 8pm ET on FOX.

Group B’s stars will perform next week, meaning fans have to wait until next Tuesday to see Banana Split, Mallard, Queen of Hearts, and Caterpillar.

So far this season Beach Ball, Hamster, Cupcake, Baby, Dalmatian, Pufferfish, Mother Nature, and Octopus have been sent home.

  • WHAT IS THE TAKE IT OFF BUZZER?

    If one of the judges is certain they know the identity of a contestant, they can use a new feature, the Take It Off buzzer, to identify them on the spot.

    If the judge’s guess is correct, the contestant is unmasked and leaves the competition.

  • IS TODRICK HALL THE BULL?

    Fans of the Masked Singer speculated in the past that the Bull was singer and dancer Todrick Hall.

    One fan replied to one of Todrick’s previous tweets, writing: “Are you the Bull on The Masked Singer?

    “I’m dying here! If so, your performance of ‘Make you feel my Love’ tonight had me in tears. But if you’re not the Bull, please disregard this tweet!”

    Another Twitter user added: “When The Bull sang ‘Make You Feel My Love’ By Bob Dylan During His performance of @MaskedSingerFOX Tonight OMG I thought He did such Incredible Job, He sound like He was singing from The heart & I’m 100% sure It’s @todrick!!!”

    A third said: “Just started the masked singer season 6 annnddddd I knew @todrick was the Bull the second he walked out on #maskedsinger … if I’m wrong I’ll be very very surprised.”

  • WHAT ARE THE RULES OF THE GAME?

    The Masked Singer is a super-secret singing competition on Fox where celebrities face off against each other in elaborate costumes to hide their identity.

    Judges Robin Thicke, Jenny McCarthy, Ken Jeong, and Nicole Scherzinger are all tasked with trying to figure out who is behind the mask.

  • WHO WAS THE BEACH BALL?

    Mama June and her daughter Alana Thompson, also known as Honey Boo Boo from the reality show Toddler and Tiaras, were unmasked as the beach ball on The Masked Singer.

  • KEN USES THE TAKE IT OFF BUZZER

    On Wednesday’s episode, the judges were presented with the word “train” as Pepper’s clue.

    Following the revelation, Ken said he now knew exactly who Pepper was and asked for the take it off buzzer.

    He guessed Pepper was Sara Bareilles, but Pepper turned out to be singer Natasha Bedingfield.

  • WHEN IS THE MASKED SINGER ON?

    The Masked Singer airs live on FOX Wednesday’s at 8pm EST.

    It can also be streamed on Hulu, Sling TV, fuboTV and Tubi.

  • WHO IS CATERPILLAR?

    Fans met Caterpillar as a Group B wildcard and stunned the judges with a performance of Beyonce’s “If I Were A Boy.”

    While the Caterpillar is still competing on the show, fans are starting to narrow down who’s behind the mask.

    “You might not know who I am yet,” Caterpillar said in their introduction. “But I can say a tailor would, especially this one.”

    Then a photo of Taylor Swift popped up on screen, suggesting that the contestant knows the “Shake It Off” singer or is a Swiftie themselves.

    While they have not been unmasked yet, fans strongly believe it’s Queer Eye’s Bobby Berk because he made a cameo in Swift’s music video for her song, “You Need To Calm Down.”

  • PAST WINNERS, CONTINUED

    The fourth winner of the show was LeAnn Rimes, who performed as Sun.

    The fifth winner of the show was multi-platinum recording artist Nick Lachey, who performed as Piglet.

    The sixth season winner has yet to be crowned.

  • PAST WINNERS OF THE MASKED SINGER

    The first winner of the show was recording artist T-Pain who performed as Monster.

    The second winner of the show was five-time Emmy winner Wayne Brady who performed as Fox.

    The third winner of the show was Real Housewives of Atlanta star Kandi Buress who performed as Night Angel.

  • WHO DESIGNS THE COSTUMES?

    Los-Angeles based Emmy-winning designer Marina Toybina is known for her eccentric costumes.

    Toybina has been with the show since 2019 and is also known for her work with The X Factor and So You Think You Can Dance.

    Throughout her career, she has won five Emmy Awards, including four consecutive in the “Outstanding Costumes for a Variety Program or a Special” category from 2012–2015.

  • WHO WAS CUPCAKE?

    The Masked Singer revealed Ruth Pointer as Cupcake during week five of the show.

    The contestant revealed her sister and singing partner, Anita, was supposed to compete with her on the show, though quit due to “health reasons.”

  • WHO IS BANANA SPLIT?

    Banana Split is one of only two duos to compete on the show.

    The first duo was back in season 4 when Clint Black and Lisa Hartman Black dressed up as Snow Owls.

    While they might be the second duo, Banana Split is the first duo to not be inside the same costume together.

    While it is still unknown who is behind the mask, the first clue was revealed as a trio of red candy apples. 

    The show teased them toasting champagne glasses at an outdoor cafe and shooting money guns.

    The judges are still Robin Thicke, Jenny McCarthy, Ken Jeong, and Nicole Scherzinger.

    The newest season of The Masked Singer debuted a few weeks ago.

    This is the sixth season of the hit TV show.

  • WHAT PRIZE DOES THE MASKED SINGER’S WINNER RECEIVE?

    The prize that the champion of the singing show receives is a trophy with a mask on it. 

    The judge who manages to guess the most contestants wins a Golden Ear trophy.

    This prize was a late addition to the show, coming in the fourth season of The Masked Singer.

    There is no cash prize on the show or donation to a charity of the celebrity’s choice.

  • WHO IS THE MALLARD?

    While the Mallard is still competing this season, fans are confident they know who’s behind the mask.

    Clues of the Mallard include his costume and an old-style rotary telephone, creating the assumption of a duck call, leading fans to strongly believe the man behind the mask is Duck Dynasty’s Willie Robertson.

    During the show, the Mallard was also seen bragging about his best-selling book and platinum record album, both of which Robertson has including his New York Times best-seller  “The Duck Commander Family,” and his album “Duck the Halls,”which has sold more than a million copies. 

  • WHO WAS THE LAST WINNER OF THE MASKED SINGER?

    The last winner of the Masked Singer was the Piglet.

    The Piglet was then revealed to be singer Nick Lachey.

    This season also introduces the “Take It Off Buzzer” which can be hit if a judge is certain they know who is behind the mask.

    If they are right, the judge then gets two points and the celebrity has to reveal themself but if they are wrong, the judge then get two points deducted.

    The buzzer can only be used once in Group A and once in Group B.

  • DIFFERENT FORMAT

    This season, The Masked Singer split its contestants into A and B groups.

    Those groups have been competing against each other throughout the season.

    In the finale, the strongest performers from each group will go head-to-head and compete against one another for the first time.

    Fans shared their takes on Twitter after Pepper and Jester were eliminated during the semi-finals.

  • PEPPER UNMASKED

    The second eliminated contestant of the night was Pepper.

    The performer was then revealed to be Natasha Bedingfield.

    Judge Nicole Scherzinger had the right guess.

    “It’s fun to be spicy,” Natasha said.

    “I just want people to feel something.”

  • JESTER REVEALED TO BE JOHNNY ROTTEN

    During the first of two eliminations of the night, the Wild Card performer was revealed to be the Sex Pistol’s lead singer Johnny Rotten.

    None of the judges guessed the right identity.
